Microsoft Windows NT Load Balancing Service (WLBS) in Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 creates a "WLBS Virtual NIC" entry on the Adapters tab in the Network tool in Control Panel.
MORE INFORMATIONWindows 2000 does not require a virtual adapter for NLB. Instead, you can enable NLB on any adapter that appears in the "Network and Dial-up Connections" tool in Control Panel by right-clicking the adapter, clicking Properties, and then clicking to select the Network Load Balancing check box.
