SYMPTOMSServer Manager displays Windows 2000 servers as Windows NT 5.0 servers. Note that this does not change the functionality of the server or the communication between the servers. CAUSEWindows 2000 was called Windows NT 5.0 in early development. Before release, the name was changed to Windows 2000. Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 using the down-level Server Manager tool still reports Windows 2000 servers as Windows NT 5.0.
