SYMPTOMSWhen you upgrade your computer to Windows 2000, the system time on your computer may change to the year 2019, and you may receive the following error message with pre-released versions of Windows 2000: Also, this issue may occur some time after the upgrade process. CAUSEThis issue occurs because of a problem with Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) revisions 1007 and 1009 on the ASUS P2B, P2B-D, and P2B-F mainboards. Windows 2000 updates the system time from the complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) time. Sometimes, the ASUS BIOS returns a 2-digit year of 19 instead of 99. When Windows 2000 performs the 2-digit to 4-digit year conversion logic, it interprets these 2 digits as the year 2019, and changes the year on your computer to 2019. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, contact ASUS to inquire about the availability of one of the following BIOS updates:
