Interrupt 0 Is Not Listed in IRQ Listing in System Information or Computer Management

SYMPTOMS

Interrupt 0 is not reported in the IRQ listing under Hardware Resources in the System Information (Msinfo32.exe) or Computer Management tool.

To see the IRQ listing, right-click My Computer, click Manage, double-click System Information, double-click Hardware Resources, and then click IRQ.

CAUSE

The System Information and Computer Management tools do not display IRQ 0 because it is reported differently from other IRQs in the system.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

IRQ 0 is used by the system timer, which is displayed in Device Manager.
