SYMPTOMS
When a shared folder on the server is deleted, clients are not aware that the folder was deleted, and do not have the means to delete the item from Synchronization Manager.
CAUSEOn a client computer, there is no way to distinguish between a share being offline for some reason and the share having been removed. A shared folder may be deleted temporarily and then brought back online. Because of this, Microsoft takes a conservative approach and continues to display the share in Synchronization Manager. STATUSThis behavior is by design. MORE INFORMATIONUsers always have the option of deleting the share from the Offline Files folder by double-clicking My Computer, clicking Folder Options on the Tools menu, clicking the Offline Files tab, clicking View Files, and then deleting the files from the Offline Files folder. A shortcut to this location is created on the desktop the first time you mark anything. Additional query words:
