Netsh.exe Tool Help Displays Incorrect Syntax for the DHCP Server Command

SYMPTOMS

When you type netsh dhcp server server IP address scope scope IP address delete reservedoptionvalue, Help displays the following incorrect syntax:

delete reservedoptionvalue reserved IP addressOptCode [Class=UserName] [vendor=VendorName]


CAUSE

This problem occurs because of a documentation error in the Help file.


RESOLUTION

The correct syntax is:

delete reservedoptionvalue reserved IP addressOptCode [user=UserName] [vendor=VendorName]
