SYMPTOMSWhen you restore client certificate mappings in Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) from a backup on a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer, the mappings do not take effect immediately. CAUSEThis behavior occurs because you must restart the Internet Information Services Administration (Iisadmin) utility for the restored mappings to take effect. RESOLUTIONTo work around this problem, restart the Iisadmin utility after you restore the client certificate mappings from the backup.
