Print Queue and Command Prompt Report Different Size for EMF Print Job

SYMPTOMS

When you compare file sizes of spooled EMF print jobs with the printer's queue window with the size of the .spl files in the Spool folder at a command prompt, the file sizes reported in the two locations do not match.

NOTE: Print jobs using the RAW format are almost identical when you view the files in the two locations.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
