ADS Technologies Pyro DV 1394 Controller May Reset Computer

SYMPTOMS

When you hot plug a device or devices into an ADS Technologies Pyro IEEE 1394 controller card, your computer may unexpectedly reboot or the device may not receive the correct power to operate correctly.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you are not supplying external power to the device, but are using the power provided by the controller.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, supply external power to the device instead of using the power supplied by the controller. If this does not resolve the issue, contact ADS Technologies for further assistance:
