Only One Monitor Output Works with Matrox Productiva G100 Multi-Monitor Adapter

SYMPTOMS

When you use a Matrox Productiva G100 Multi-Monitor video adapter on a computer running Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional or Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, the operating system recognizes only the first video chip on the adapter. The other three video chips appear under Other Devices in Device Manager, marked with yellow question marks, and you cannot configure them.


CAUSE

This behavior can occur with older versions of the basic input/output system (BIOS) for this video adapter, which are not compatible with Windows 2000.


RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, download the latest version of the BIOS for the Matrox Productiva G100 Multi-Monitor video adapter from the following Matrox Graphics, Inc. Web site:
