SYMPTOMSAfter you run the SQL Server 7.0, Enterprise Edition, Failover Cluster Wizard and successfully cluster the SQL 7.0 virtual server on Windows 2000, users may occasionally receive the following error message when logging on to a cluster server:
CAUSEWhen SQL Server 7.0, Enterprise Edition, is installed on a shared storage device (the cluster disk), an entry is created in the StartUp folder for the SQL Service Manager tool. However, because the shortcut points to a file on the cluster disk, users receive this error message at logon if the SQL group is not online on the current server. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, use either of the following methods:
