SYMPTOMS
When you are running the Computer Management snap-in in Microsoft Management Console (MMC), you may see incorrect or illegible information in the Type column in the right pane for Disk Defragmenter if you click Storage in the left (Tree) pane.
CAUSEThis behavior is caused by pointer corruption. RESOLUTIONThis problem is harmless and does not affect the functionality of the Computer Management snap-in. To work around the behavior, quit and then restart the Computer Management snap-in. The Type value for Disk Defragmenter is reset to its correct value (Extension Snapin). STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. Additional query words:
