Pressing BACKSPACE in My Network Places Brings Up My Documents Folder, Not Desktop

SYMPTOMS

When you open the My Network Places folder from the desktop while the My Documents folder is open with the Web View option enabled, and you press BACKSPACE to return to the desktop from the My Network Places folder, it is the My Documents folder, not the desktop, that reappears.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional.
