OLE/DCOM: Client Cannot Create a Server Instance

Microsoft Windows NT Server version 4.0, Terminal Server Edition

SYMPTOMS

It isn't possible for a DCOM client developed for Windows to create a DCOM server instance on a specifically targeted Terminal Server session.

However, this client does have the ability to create a DCOM server instance on the Terminal Server session where it is running, or on another network computer.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows Base Terminal Server 4.0 for the Alpha platform.
