SUMMARY

SYMPTOMS

The Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) client does not have the option of specifying the number of colors or the color depth when connecting to the server. The RDP client only supports 8 bits per pixel (bpp), even if your physical client hardware is running in 16-bit mode.

CAUSE

This behavior is by design.
