SYMPTOMSWhen ICA clients attempt to connect to a Terminal Server computer running MetaFrame, they may experience logon problems with regard to licensing. The clients may encounter the following message: The server in question will also log the following Event ID: These symptoms are usually experienced in conjuction with excessive logon and logoff attempts. CAUSEThe errors are caused by a MetaFrame feature known as License Pooling. License Pooling allows MetaFrame servers to share installed licenses among each other. When a client connects, the license follows the client. In some cases, this license may not be returned to the server, thus causing the MetaFrame server to run out of ICA licenses. To keep the licenses on the server and disallow them from following the client, change the License Pool Count. RESOLUTIONTo change the Licsense Pool Count, perform the following the steps:
