SYMPTOMSWhen you are configuring devices on a Fibre Array controller with the Compaq Array Configuration utility, you may receive the following error message:
CAUSEThe Compaq Fibre Array system driver creates a symbolic name to be used by the configuration utility. Windows Terminal Server incorrectly truncates the symbolic name. RESOLUTIONA supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but
it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems
experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this
specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Windows Terminal Server service pack
