SYMPTOMSThe Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) client window may stop responding (hang) while you are logging on to the Terminal Server. When this problem occurs, the window displaying the Terminal Server logo is displayed on the client desktop and logon does not proceed. After this problem occurs, no other clients can log on to the Terminal Server. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. You may have to reset several sessions until Terminal Server recovers completely. Resetting the client forces a termination of the client session. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
