Cannot Start the Spooler Service on Terminal Server, Error 0012 Message Appears

SYMPTOMS

When you are using Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition, you may not be able to start the Spooler service and you may receive the following error message:

Error 0012 - The Access code is invalid.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, delete all the files in the C:\Wtsrv\System32\Spool\Printers folder and then restart the spooler.
