The Hewlett-Packard (HP) OmniBook 300 ships with the following Microsoft products preinstalled on Flash read-only memory (ROM):

Microsoft Windows operating system version 3.1

Microsoft MS-DOS operating system version 5.0

Microsoft Excel for Windows, version 4.0a

Microsoft Word for Windows, version 2.0c

Hewlett-Packard is responsible for supporting all these products on its ROM.

Microsoft modified each product to operate on Flash ROM; these are not retail releases of the Microsoft products. In addition to the Flash ROM releases of these Microsoft products, each OmniBook owner is licensed to use the full release of the products.
