SUMMARY

"Microsoft Mail Gateway to FAX"

The Microsoft FAX Windows printer driver is supplied with the Microsoft Mail version 3.2 server package and with the Microsoft Mail Gateway to FAX version 3.0a. The printer driver file is located on the USA directory of the Microsoft FAX disk.

The Microsoft FAX driver sends a file from Windows or a Windows-based application through the Microsoft Mail Windows client to the Microsoft Mail Gateway to FAX.

Install the Microsoft FAX driver as you would install any other unlisted or updated Windows printer driver.

MORE INFORMATION

When you install the Microsoft FAX driver, it adds the Send Fax command to the File menu in Microsoft Word for Windows and Microsoft Excel for Windows. If you choose the Send Fax command, a macro runs that converts the current file to .DCX (scanned image) file format, launches the Windows Mail client, and embeds the file as an attachment in a Mail message.
