To add a shortcut to the contents of the desktop to the Start menu, follow
these steps:
- Use the right mouse button to click the Start button, and then click
Explore on the menu that appears.
- In the All Folders pane, click Start Menu.
- On the File menu, point to New, and then click Shortcut.
- Type the following line in the Command Line box, and then click
Next:
c:\windows\desktop
- Click Finish.
- Close Windows Explorer.
To add a shortcut to a Windows Explorer view of the Start menu to the Start
menu, follow these steps:
- Use the right mouse button to click the Start button, and then click
Explore on the menu that appears.
- Drag the Start Menu folder to the Start button.
- Close Windows Explorer.
