SYMPTOMSWhen you use Dial-Up Networking to connect to a Microsoft Windows NT Remote Access Service (RAS) server and your password has expired, you are disconnected without an option to change the password. RESOLUTIONThis issue is resolved by the following updated files for Windows 95, and later versions of these files:
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 95. An
update to address this problem is now available, but is not fully
regression tested and should be applied only to computers experiencing
this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific
problem, Microsoft does not recommend implementing this update at this
time. Contact Microsoft Technical Support for additional information about
the availability of this update.
MORE INFORMATIONWhen you connect to a Windows NT RAS server with an expired password, you receive the following error message: When you click OK, you are disconnected. This behavior is by design. The updated files add the ability to change an expired password using the Windows 95 Dial-Up Networking client.
