WINIPCFG Command-Line Switches May Not Work

SYMPTOMS

The /batch and /all command-line switches may not work correctly with localized (foreign language) versions of the IP Configuration utility (WINIPCFG).


CAUSE

WINIPCFG has command-line switches you can use to send the output to a file. These switches are not correctly interpreted in localized versions of WINIPCFG.


RESOLUTION

This problem is resolved by the following file for Windows 95:


   Winipcfg.exe, dated 2/24/98 11:12, 39424 bytes 


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows 95. A supported fix is now available, but has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to computers experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Service Pack that contains this fix. Contact Microsoft Technical Support for more information.
