registry files (System.dat and User.dat). Both are hidden files in the
Windows folder.
CAUSEWith system policies, every time a user logs on to a computer the policy file is downloaded and added to the registry. Therefore, the value is always placed in the RunOnce key at startup. RESOLUTION
WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems
that may require you to reinstall Windows 95. Microsoft cannot guarantee
that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be
solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
MORE INFORMATIONThe RunOnce key is designed to cause a value to be executed only one time. When you select the RunOnce key in System Policy Editor, the value you add is placed under the following registry keys:
