SYMPTOMSWhen you attempt to print to a network printer in Windows 95, the following error message may be displayed where <xxxx:xxxxxxxx> is series of hexadecimal digits representing the code segment and actual address in which the stack fault occurred. CAUSEThis problem can occur when the print provider on your computer and the print provider on the computer that the network printer is connected to are unable to properly communicate with each other. The problem is most likely to occur when the Microsoft Client for Microsoft Networks and the Microsoft Client for NetWare Networks are both installed on your computer, although the problem is not network-related. RESOLUTIONThis issue is resolved by the following updated file for Windows 95 and OSR2, and later versions of this file:
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 95 and
OEM Service Release 2 (OSR2). An update to address this problem is now
available, but is not fully regression tested and should be applied only
to computers experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely
impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft does not recommend
implementing this update at this time. Contact Microsoft Technical Support
for additional information about the availability of this update.
