PIFEDIT.EXE Allows Invalid Filenames

Microsoft Windows versions 2.x, 3.0, 3.0a

PIF Editor allows you to enter a filename longer than eight characters; however, PIF Editor then truncates the filename to the first eight characters.

This information applies to Microsoft Windows versions 3.0 and earlier. It does not apply to later versions of Windows.
