1024 x 768 Wallpaper Causes UAE in Windows

SUMMARY
You may get an Unrecoverable Application Error (UAE) if you use a 1024
x 768 bitmap as wallpaper in Windows 3.0 or 3.0a. This problem can
usually be eliminated by converting the picture to a 1024 x 767
resolution.
This problem does not occur in later versions of Windows.

To convert the image to 1024 x 767 using Windows 3.0 Paintbrush, do
the following:
- Open Paintbrush.
- Open a 1024 x 768 bitmap.
- From the View menu, choose View Picture.
- Press the PRINT SCREEN key on the keyboard to copy the image to the
Clipboard.
- From the Options menu, choose Image Attributes and change Units to
pels, change Height to 767 pels, and choose the OK button.
- From the File menu, choose New, and maximize Paintbrush.
- From the View menu, choose Zoom Out.
- From the Edit menu, choose Paste. (This step may need to be done
twice.)
- From the View menu, choose Zoom In.
- Save the file and it can be used as wallpaper.
