SUMMARY
When operating the Microsoft C version 6.0 Programmer's Work Bench through
Windows (as a full-screen MS-DOS-based application), you need to use
Microsoft Mouse driver version 8.0 or later.
Earlier versions of the Microsoft Mouse driver only allow access to the
first 25 lines of text from a 50-line text-mode display. In addition, all
of the menu options may not work when selected.

Programmer's Work Bench is an application shipped with Microsoft C version
6.0. When running in 50-line text mode in full-screen mode from within
Windows, the mouse may exhibit the following behavioral patterns:
- May not access all 50 lines of the Programmer's Work Bench
- May not fully execute the menu options under the Programmer's Work
Bench
The Microsoft Mouse driver version 8.0 or later should be installed in
one of the following two files:
- In the AUTOEXEC.BAT file, add the following line:
[Drive]:\[Path]\MOUSE.COM

- In the CONFIG.SYS file, add the following line
DEVICE=[Drive]:\[Path]\MOUSE.SYS
where [Drive] and [Path] are the drive and subdirectory location of the
Microsoft Mouse driver.
