Windows 3.1 Printer Page Sizes Not Supported by Excel 3.0

SYMPTOMS

Version 3.0 of Microsoft Excel for Windows only recognizes paper sizes available in Microsoft Windows version 3.0. Although Microsoft Windows version 3.1 offers additional paper sizes, only those paper sizes defined in Windows 3.0 can be accessed from Excel 3.0.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Excel version 3.0. This problem was corrected and does not occur in later versions of the product.

The following are a few examples of paper sizes available in Windows 3.1 that Excel 3.0 does not recognize:

US fanfold is a new paper size in the Microsoft Windows operating system version 3.1.

An Epson FX-1050 printer cannot print the new 14-by-11-inch paper size included with Windows 3.1. Only the 11-by-14-inch paper size can be used, which is a Windows 3.0 option.
