Graphics Resolution Too High

SYMPTOMS

When you use version 2.0 or 2.0a of Word for Windows with a Microsoft Windows version 3.1 printer driver, such as PSCRIPT.DRV version 3.5, set for a resolution (dpi) greater than 1270, the following message is displayed:

The graphics resolution of the currently selected printer is too high for Word to handle. Please select a different printer or a lower graphics resolution in File Print Setup.


RESOLUTION

  1. Run Control Panel.


  2. Choose the Printers icon.


  3. Select the printer driver, then choose the Setup button.


  4. Choose the Options button, then choose the Advanced button.


  5. Reduce the entry in the Resolution box to 1270 or less.


NOTE: All the Linotronic printer drivers that ship with Windows 3.1 allow you to choose resolutions higher than 1270.
