SUMMARY

The Hewlett-Packard (HP) PaintJet XL300 ships with a paper tray that holds up to 200 sheets of standard paper or 100 sheets of transparencies or glossy paper. The printer can also manually feed any of its supported paper sizes.

The following media sizes are supported by the adjustable paper tray that ships with the printer and by manual feed:

A (letter) 8.5 x 11 inches
Legal 8.5 x 14 inches
A-4 210 x 297 millimeters
The following media sizes are supported by manual feed or by purchasing an optional paper tray from HP for each size:
Tabloid B (ledger) 11 x 17 inches
A-3 297 x 420 millimeters
B-4 257 x 364 millimeters
NOTE: The printer does NOT support envelopes or labels.

The following media types are supported by the printer:
Plain paper - standard copier paper
Special paper - clay-coated, same as PaintJet XL
Transparencies - special purchase from HP
Glossy paper - special purchase from HP
NOTE: It is very important when printing from Microsoft Windows that you select the correct media type in the Options dialog box of the HPPCL5C.DRV driver. This setting overrides the setting on the front panel of the printer. An incorrect setting may cause undesirable results such as burning, cracking, or melting of transparencies or glossy paper.
