Windows Err Msg: NW IPX and SPX Not Loaded...

SYMPTOMS

When starting Terminal in Microsoft Windows operating system version 3.1, the following error may appear:

NW IPX and SPX not loaded. Transport initialization error.

RESOLUTION

You need to upgrade your version of IPX and NetX for Windows 3.1.

Exit Windows and perform the following steps to upgrade versions of IPX and NetX:

1. Replace your current NetWare shell with the most current version. (Windows 3.1 provides NETX.COM version 3.26.) You can use later versions of the NETX.COM even if your servers are running earlier versions of NetWare (as early as NetWare 2.1).



2. If you are running Novell IPX.COM, have the system administrator generate a new version using the IPX.OBJ file provided with Windows 3.1.
