'Margins Outside Printable Area' Error with Panasonic Printers

SYMPTOMS

When printing a Microsoft Word for Windows document on a Panasonic KX- P1124, KX-P1624, or KX-P2123 printer, you may receive the following error message:

The margins of section 1 are set outside the printable area of the page. Do you want to continue?

If you choose to continue, the document prints as garbage.

This problem occurs when you choose the Manual Feed paper source option in the Page Setup dialog box.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem with the PANSON24.DRV printer driver version 1.0 supplied with Microsoft Windows version 3.1. The error message occurs because the bottom unprintable region setting for manual feed mode is 2.25 inches.
