HP DeskJet 500C Output Smeared Using DESKJETC.DRV Version 3.0

SYMPTOMS

If you print to a Hewlett-Packard (HP) DeskJet 500 printer using the HP DeskJet 500C (Color) printer driver version 3.0 (DESKJETC.DRV), the output is left justified and appears as a gray ink smear.

RESOLUTION

The HP DeskJet 500C printer driver version 3.0 (DESKJETC.DRV) is provided by Hewlett-Packard. To avoid this problem when printing from Microsoft Windows or a Windows-based application, install the HP DeskJet 500 printer driver version 4.0(DESKJETC.DRV)supplied by Hewlett Packard.
