ID: Q94172

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Windows versions 3.0, 3.0a, 3.1, 3.11
  • Microsoft Excel for Windows, versions 2.1, 3.0

SYMPTOMS

When you use the printer driver for the Hewlett-Packard (HP) LaserJet III series (HPPCL5A.DRV), some headers and footers may not be printed when the graphics resolution is set to 150 DPI or 75 DPI.

RESOLUTION

This occurs with driver versions 3.70 or 3.77 under Windows 3.0 and was corrected with version 30.3.86 and with 31.3.89, which ships with Windows 3.1.

However, the problem can also occur with any version of the HPPCL5A driver if Bitstream FaceLift is installed. To correctly print in this situation, either print using 300 DPI or turn off Bitstream FaceLift.
