Follow the procedures below to reinstall the original TrueType fonts:

Enabling TrueType Fonts

Before installing any TrueType fonts, you must enable TrueType fonts; otherwise, the font names are installed, but the fonts will have either EGA or VGA resolution, not TrueType.

To enable TrueType, proceed as follows:

From Control Panel, choose the Fonts icon.

Choose the TrueType button.

Select the "Enable TrueType Fonts" option, then choose OK.

Reinstalling TrueType Fonts

To reinstall the fonts, proceed as follows:

From Control Panel, choose the Fonts icon.

Choose the Add button.

Place the disk (see the appropriate list below) containing the .TT_ files into your floppy disk drive.

The following list identifies the original Windows 3.1 TrueType fonts and their disk locations (for each disk size).

From the Control Panel window, choose the Fonts icon.

Choose the Add button.

Select the floppy drive containing the disk from step 3. At this point, all of the .TT_ fonts appear in the installed fonts section.

Choose the Select All button and choose the OK button. This will reinstall the selected fonts into the Windows SYSTEM subdirectory.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each disk containing TrueType fonts.
