Epson LQ-2500 Color Prints Ghosted Color Images

SYMPTOMS

When you print color TrueType fonts or color graphics to the Epson LQ-2500 color printer, duplicate or ghosted color images may appear to the left or right of the printed image. The problem has been reported when printing color TrueType fonts from Word for Windows, color clipart from Powerpoint, column charts in Excel 5.0, and Gantt charts in Project 3.0. The problem may affect all Windows applications that print color graphics.


CAUSE

This problem only occurs on the Epson LQ-2500 color printer and does not occur on other Epson color printers or emulation printers using the same Windows drivers. Epson has confirmed that this problem is due to a ROM problem in the Epson LQ-2500 color printer.
