Envelope Address Position Incorrect Using WinPrint and HPII

SYMPTOMS

If you create an envelope using the Create Envelope command in Word for Windows and then print it on a Hewlett-Packard (HP) LaserJet Series II printer using a version of the WinPrint printer driver earlier than 1.70, the address prints in the wrong position on the envelope.

RESOLUTION

LaserMaster has confirmed this to be a problem. It was corrected in the WinPrint printer driver version 1.70. To obtain the updated driver or for additional information about WinPrint, contact LaserMaster Technical Support. You can download the updated driver from the LaserMaster bulletin board service (BBS).

MORE INFORMATION

The envelope address prints one or two inches too far to the right of the correct position. Printer heuristics do not correct this problem.
