SUMMARY

If you print while running Adobe Type Manager (ATM) version 1.0, 1.1, or 2.0, printer fonts print lighter than usual when the ATM version of the font prints instead of the built-in printer font. For example, if you print to a Hewlett-Packard (HP) LaserJet Series II printer (which features Courier as a printer font), the ATM Courier font prints lighter than the printer-based Courier font.

This problem does not occur with ATM version 2.5.

MORE INFORMATION

If you want to print using the printer font instead of the ATM version of the font, turn off ATM using the following instructions:

  1. In Windows Program Manager, choose Run from the File menu.

  2. In the Command Line box, type atmcntrl and choose OK.

  3. In the Adobe Control Panel window, choose the Off button.

  4. Choose the Exit button. When the ATM message box appears, choose the Restart Windows button.
