Notes

To print white text on a black background on HP LaserJet Series II and compatible printers, use one of the following procedures:

Procedure 1

  1. In the Format Border dialog box, select Dk Blue from the Background and Foreground lists instead of Black.

  2. Apply White color character formatting to the text.

  3. From the File menu, choose Print Setup. Choose the Setup button.

  4. Choose the Options button.

  5. Select the Print TrueType As Graphics check box and choose OK twice.

Procedure 2

Add the following line to the [Microsoft Word 2.0] section of your Windows WIN.INI file:
SlowShading=Yes
With this setting, Word uses the Windows graphics device interface (GDI) to do the shading instead of sending a printer escape code.
