SYMPTOMS
When you are using the America Online software configured to use a
Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Winsock
connection instead of a modem connection, you receive the following error
message when you try to download a file from America Online over a Dial-Up
Networking TCP/IP Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) Internet connection:
This error message usually occurs when the download is approximately 50 percent finished. After the error message occurs, the file transfer is halted and you are disconnected from America Online. RESOLUTION
Upgrade your America Online software to version 2.5 or later. For
information about obtaining this software upgrade, please contact America
Online Technical Support.
