SYMPTOMS
When you run a NetWare Directory Services (NDS) tool, you may receive the
following error messages:
CAUSEThese errors may occur because your NetWare client does not have access to the Unicode tables. RESOLUTIONTo resolve the problem, map a search drive to the Public\NLS directory on your NetWare server. To do so, you can either use a search drive mapping or you can set the local path environment variable. For information about these methods, please consult your NetWare documentation. MORE INFORMATIONWhen you install VLMs, a directory named Windir\NLS is created. This directory contains the Unicode tables. When you set up the Microsoft Service for NDS, this directory is not created; you must create a path to the files on the server.
