SYMPTOMS

When you try to print to a LANtastic network printer, you may receive the following error message:

Spool32 caused an invalid page fault in module WNPP32.DLL

CAUSE

This error can occur for either of the following reasons:

• The real-mode LANtastic drivers used the wrong syntax to capture a printer port.



• You may require an updated Lantnet.drv file from Artisoft.

RESOLUTION

To resolve the problem, use the appropriate method:

• Edit the Startnet.bat file in the Lantasti folder and disable the "net use lptx" statement. To do so, follow these steps:
  
  
  1. Use any text editor (such as Notepad) to open the Startnet.bat file in the Lantasti folder.
  
  
  
  2. Type rem at the beginning of the net use LPT1 statement.
  
  
  
  3. Save the Startnet.bat file and then close the editor.
  
  
  
  4. Restart your computer.
  
  
  



• To obtain the updated Lantnet.drv file, download the Lant6x.exe file from Artisoft's BBS.
