SYMPTOMS

When you right-click a Windows 98-based computer listed in Network Neighborhood or the Find Computer dialog box on your Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Workstation-based or Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Server-based computer and then click Properties, the Windows 98-based computer type may be reported as "Windows 95 Workstation."

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 98. This problem does not affect any client or networking functionality in Windows 98 or Microsoft Windows NT.
