Error Message: No Drive Can Be Converted to FAT32

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to convert a drive to the FAT32 file system, the drive may be unavailable in the list of drives to convert or you may receive the following error message:

No drive can be converted to FAT32


CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the drive that you are attempting to convert to the FAT32 file system is less than 512 megabytes (MB) in size. The FAT32 file system is designed for drives that are 512 MB and larger in size.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, choose a drive that is 512 MB or larger in size to convert to the FAT32 file system.

   32,768 MB and larger   32 KB
