SYMPTOMS
When you install a component by clicking Add/Remove Programs in Control
Panel, clicking Have Disk on the Windows Setup tab, clicking Browse, and
then clicking the folder or disk drive in which the appropriate setup
information file (INF) is located, the following symptoms occur if there
are multiple INF files in the location you specify:
Windows 95You are unable to click a specific INF file to select it, and you are unable to scroll through the list of INF files if some are not viewable.Windows 98You are unable to click a specific INF file to select it.CAUSEThis behavior occurs because Windows lists all of the INF files that are in the location you specify. Although Windows lists all of the INF files, it does not automatically
install the components associated with the INF files. For information
