SYMPTOMSIf you enable font smoothing when multiple monitors are connected to your computer, screen fonts may not appear to be smoother on any of the monitors. CAUSEThis issue can occur if any display adapter in your computer is using 256 colors or lower. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, set the color depth for all display adapters to High Color (16 bit) mode. For information about how to change the color depth when you are using multiple monitors, click Start, click Help, click the Index tab, type multiple, and then double- click the "Multiple display support" topic. STATUSMicrosoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
