Printed Report Gives Driver File May Be Missing Message

SYMPTOMS

When you print a resource report in Device Manager for a display adapter, the printed output may report the following message:

Driver file may be missing


RESOLUTION

This behavior in no way impacts the functionality of the display driver.

To print a resource report in Device Manager for the display adapter only, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double- click System.


  2. Click the Device Manager tab.


  3. Double-click the Display Adapters branch to expand it, and then right-click the display adapter.


  4. Click Print, choose Selected Class Or Device, and then click OK.
