When you use the NET USE command to delete a mapped network drive, you may
receive the following error message:
This behavior occurs even though no other command prompt is currently using the mapped network drive that you are attempting to delete. RESOLUTIONTo work around this issue, type y, and then press ENTER to delete the mapped network drive. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem Microsoft Windows 98.
